Organized by the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA), this annual conference serves as a pivotal platform for research management professionals across Europe. EARMA plays a critical role in shaping the ERA by acting as the conduit between research funding organizations and the scientific community. It helps navigate the complex landscape of cultural and legal disparities among countries and supports the seamless execution of research projects.
Throughout the three-day event, participants engaged in thought-provoking sessions and discussions focused on collaborative research and the management of international research endeavors. The presence of numerous European University Alliances at the conference highlighted the growing importance of cooperation in research and training. These alliances presented innovative strategies for joint research efforts, underscoring the potential of united academic and research communities.
EARMA, a cornerstone in the international Research Management and Administration (RMA) community, also plays a foundational role in the International Network of Research Management Societies (INORMS). This global network strengthens the connections between RMA professionals worldwide, fostering an environment of shared knowledge and resources.
The 2024 EARMA Conference once again proved to be an inspiring gathering, offering fresh perspectives and reaffirming the collective drive towards a more integrated and efficient research ecosystem in Europe.
