Eurolife announces the selection results for the Eurolife Grants / Eurolife Summer School 2019, Leiden.

9 students from across Europe have been awarded the Eurolife grant to participate in the Eurolife Summer School entotled “Immune modulation in human and animal infections: impact on health, disease and therapy”. It is gratifying that majority of the Eurolife partner institutions will be represented at the event.

The course will be held in Leiden, the Netherlands from the 8th to 12th of July 2019. The Eurolife Summer School 2019, Leiden is joinly organised by the Leiden University Medical Center and the University of Edinburgh.

On 23 May 2019, Eurolife will bring together Eurolife Network Members, guests and academic speakers to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the network. To mark this occassion, Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) will host the Eurolife Mini Symposium on Research Innovations in Oncology. The headlines of the Symposium will be the Eurolife Distinguished Lecture of Prof. Dr. Lorraine O’Driscoll from the School of Pharmacy, Trinity College Dublin and the presentation of the Honorary Guest, Prof. Stephen G Hillier from the University of Edinburgh, the founding father and former Coordinator of Eurolife.

Immune modulation in human and animal infections: impact on health, disease and therapy

Join the Eurolife Summer School 2019 in Leiden to increase your knowledge on human and animal infectious diseases, immunotherapy for inflammatory diseases, microbiota interventions and host-directed therapies against infectious diseases, clinical trials as well the industrial production of vaccines and antimicrobial therapies. In result of your participation, you are expected to gain an understanding of vaccine design and immunotherapy, preclinical testing, and clinical evaluation.
